Utrecht, 3 June – Emanuele Capra has started on 17 March as the new Managing Director of Ecofys in Italy. Emanuele earned a Master degree in Management and an MBA at SDA-Bocconi University. His past work experience includes various management and engineering positions in the IT, banking and energy sectors. He served TNT Logistics as Technical Engineering Manager, Merrill Lynch as Corporate Services Director and NUS Consulting as General Manager.

One of Ecofys’ recent key projects in Italy concerns the assessment of the opportunities and the related energy and environmental outcomes for the introduction of biofuels in the Province of Turin. Emanuele Capra: “Preliminary outcomes of our study already state the numerous possibilities the Province of Turin has regarding biodiesel, bio ethanol and biogas. We’re actively involved the development of several large projects on wind, solar and bio mass plants both managed by local and international investors and we look at the Italian market as one of the most interesting in the medium and long term”.
