For the Round table on Sustainable Biofuels (RSB), Ecofys provided an overview of the current state of knowledge on the indirect effects of biofuels production. At Ecofys we analysed initiatives that quantify these impacts as well as those that account for and/or mitigate the impacts. Our report makes this complex issue transparent and accessible to the RSB as well as all those affected by it. Based on the insights obtained, we advised the RSB on how best to incorporate indirect impacts in the draft standards it is overseeing.
