The automotive world is currently in a period of drastic change. Climate change, air quality, energy security and peak oil are among the drivers for more sustainable road transport (as well as other forms of transport). Ecofys’ Sustainable Mobility Division studies, develops and introduces innovative sustainable transport concepts in cooperation with companies and government departments.
Our sustainable mobility team has broad expertise in marketing, technological innovations, demonstration projects and strategic studies related to both technology and policy. Our partners and customers include branches of government such as municipalities, national governments and the European Union, users (e.g. consumers, transport companies and fleet owners), the automotive sector (dealers, importers, manufacturers, service providers and colleges) as well as those in the energy sector (fuel companies, energy and network owners).

Junior Consultant Sustainable Transport
The position
As a junior consultant you will mainly be involved with bringing new technologies onto the market and demonstration projects. You will advise companies about how best to deploy cleaner and more sustainable vehicles and fuels, you will build up a network among fuel and automotive companies, and – together with your marketing colleagues – you will be responsible for providing an attractive and accurate information service to companies and motorists. In addition, you will work with colleagues on technological analyses. You will be part of an enthusiastic, dynamic team based primarily in the Netherlands.
Your profile
Ideally you are able to combine a technical/scientific education in mechanical engineering or technical innovation sciences (this is essential) with good communication and organizational skills. You are proactive in making contacts, you’re social and you have demonstrable experience of applying organizational skills in your previous career or e.g. in a non-business-related management position. Your analytical skills are excellent and you’re able to work well with technical automotive colleagues. In addition, you have good presentation and writing skills in Dutch and English and have an affinity with automotive mobility, for example by keeping up to date with developments in this field.
