The Internationally operating cluster Energy Strategy of Ecofys is working on analysis and strategic advice in four main areas: technology and innovation; energy and climate policy evaluation and design; energy market developments and climate change. The cluster has currently a multidisciplinary staff of around 100 people working in small project teams for multiple and various clients that range from national and international governments, the European Commission, corporate clients and non-governmental organisations. The Spanish team currently has a staff of 4, with the ambition to quickly grow to 10. The team, located in Barcelona is looking for a:

The group is looking for a team manager responsible for the business development in Spain and management of the team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional wanting to join in an innovative business with the ambition to grow to a corporate giant.

Your profile

Our ideal candidate
• Has management experience within a technical, primarily content-driven environment.
• Has a university degree and at least seven years of experience in consultancy or business environment.
• Is an internationally minded, proactive person with good negotiation and communication skills.
• Has a commercial and customer-oriented attitude and is able to convert market opportunities into tangible projects.
• Has excellent communication skills in Spanish (preferable Spanish native) and English and written command of the local language (Spanish/Catalan) and in English.
• Is strongly interested in sustainable energy.

The team’s work concentrates on identifying and evaluating the practical requirements and impacts of new policy frameworks or policy instruments and assisting our clients in development of new approaches and activities. Essential in this is the ability to link strategic and conceptual thinking to a pragmatic approach. For our governmental clients the team translates practical and/or technological information into aggregated policy recommendations and vice versa. For our corporate clients the team converts market opportunities into tangible projects.
