The Bioenergy group within Ecofys deals with execution of strategic consultancy and consultancy to support the realization of installations in the field of bioenergy. Focus areas in the field of bioenergy are: the implementation of sustainability strategies, biogas production and biogas upgrading, biomass combustion and co-firing, biofuels - including second generation technology developments, electricity and/or heat generation (CHP), biochar production technologies and biomass resource assessments. We service clients in the whole biomass project development chain: starting with helping our clients determining their strategy evolving in supporting clients in realizing concrete projects.

SENIOR CONSULTANT BIOENERGY
The position
As a senior consultant bioenergy you will provide consultancy services to companies, governmental institutions and NGO´s. Key activities will include strategy development, resource assessments, conceptual development, feasibility studies, technology selection and project development. You will support non-bioenergy colleagues on technical, policy and strategy related to biomass/bioenergy.
Your profile
- You are a senior consultant with several expertise years of professional experience in the energy sector or energy policy sector, agriculture, forestry or biomass processing industry (experience in the biomass project planning process and project development would be advantageous)
- You will be expected to generate sales leads via your knowledge of the market developments and existing contact network and write proposals to secure new consulting contracts
- University degree in sciences, engineering or equivalent subject
- Excellent oral and written command of English and German
- Strong commercial attitude and entrepreneurial skills in identifying and seizing opportunities in a competitive market place
- The ability to cooperate with professionals and manage project teams
- Project management, proposal writing and presentation skills
- Good knowledge of the various companies and other organizations involved in the energy industry
- A thorough understanding of the (inter-) national renewable energy and climate change policy and legislation
