Senior Consultant Bio Energy

Departments of bioenergy within Ecofys offices are dealing with execution of studies and realization of installations in the field of bioenergy. Focus areas in the field of bioenergy are: biomass combustion and co-firing, biofuels - including second generation technology developments, anaerobic digestion, electricity and/or heat generation (CHP) and/or biogas and biomass supply chain sustainability. We pay attention to the whole biomass chain: biomass supply, logistics, conversion and production and sale of end products (electricity, heat, biofuels/pellets).

SENIOR CONSULTANT – BIO ENERGY

Location: Poznan/ Poland

 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing consultancy services to industry, governments and NGO´s within bioenergy
  • Key activities will include resource assessments, conceptual development, technology selection, feasibility studies, project development support and guiding planning permission applications
  • You will be expected to generate sales leads via your knowledge of the market and existing contact network and write proposals to secure new consulting contracts
  • Supporting non-bioenergy colleagues on policy, strategy and technical work related to biomass/bioenergy.

 

We require:

  • Proven several years’ of professional experience in energy or waste sector, agro-industry, forestry, agriculture, wood processing or paper industry (an experience in the biomass project planning process and project development would be advantageous)
  • University degree in sciences, engineering or equivalent subject
  • Good oral and written command of English
  • Strong commercial attitude and entrepreneurial skills in identifying and seizing opportunities in a competitive market place
  • Project management, proposal writing and presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of the various companies and other organizations involved in the energy industry
  • A thorough understanding of the national renewable energy and climate change policy and legislation
