The Bioenergy group within Ecofys deals with execution of strategic consultancy and consultancy to support the realization of installations in the field of bioenergy. Focus areas in the field of bioenergy are: the implementation of sustainability strategies, biogas production and biogas upgrading, biomass combustion and co-firing, biofuels - including second generation technology developments, electricity and/or heat generation (CHP), biochar production technologies and biomass resource assessments. We service clients in the whole biomass project development chain: starting with helping our clients determining their strategy evolving in supporting clients in realizing concrete projects.

UNITMANAGER BIOENERGY
The position
As Unit Manager you manage the German BIO (bioenergy) team in all aspects and in sync with the Ecofys strategy and policy. The Unit Manager Bioenergy will be responsible for the development of business and services in the field of bioenergy for Ecofys in Germany. Activities range from the acquisition of new projects, directing bioenergy projects and assure their quality, pro-active networking to developing new service offerings and expanding into new markets.
You are responsible for academic professionals within the team. Being an inspiring leader to the team is an important part of the position. You draw up the business plan together with the International Manager Bioenergy and realize development of product market combinations. You report on a regularly basis on business development and financial performance to the International Manager and come up with practical solutions and actions. Within the team, you play a key role in setting priorities, linking projects, motivating the people in the team and organizing the workload and quality assurance.
Your profile
Essential Knowledge/experience:
- An excellent contact network in the German energy market and more specific in the bioenergy market.
- A strong and proven commercial attitude and entrepreneurial skills in identifying and seizing opportunities in a competitive market place
- Experience in linking the management process with people and projects which are primarily content-driven
- At least 7 years of professional experience and a university degree in sciences, technical sciences, engineering or equivalent subject
- Professional expertise in consulting
