Managing Director Ecofys Poland receives award for exceptional contributions to energy sector

Dr. Marynka Szweykowska-Muradin, Managing Director of Ecofys Poland, was recently awarded the global award ‘Key women in Energy’. Awards were given in six categories. Selected from nearly 425 nominations, representing 45 countries, Szweykowska-Muradin was the winner in the category ‘Innovation/Creativity’.

Prior to her relocation to Poland from the Netherlands, Szweykowska-Muradin served in the Dutch Ministry of Science and Education. In 2000, she was a co-founder of the Polish branch of Ecofys, of which she has been Managing Director since 2001. Simultaneously, since 1999, she also serves as the head of international programmes and projects at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.

Sustainable energy has been the focal area in the career and work of Szweykowska-Muradin. Her knowledge and experience include topics such as energy policies and strategies, renewable energy technologies, green energy certificates, energy efficiency, and greenhouse gas emissions trading. Szweykowska-Muradin considers it important to show people in Poland that sustainable energy can be a business of opportunity.
