The cluster Energy and Climate Strategies of Ecofys is working on analysis and strategic advice in four main areas: technology and innovation; energy and climate policy evaluation and design; energy market developments and climate change. The international cluster has a multidisciplinary staff of 100 people.

Junior Consultant

for the Energy and Climate Strategies cluster

 

The position

Ecofys performs a wide range of research and consultancy assignments across a range of sustainable energy strategies and climate change policies.  In the wake of the New Energy Climate package launched in January, it is expected that a number of policy analyses and decisions will follow.   Ecofys performs ex-ante and ex-post policy evaluations and is pro-actively involved in the policymaking process.  With Ecofys being an international company we have good access to relevant information around the world.  As part of the Econcern group, we have an excellent understanding of the effectiveness of policy instruments in real life.  As a junior consultant you will support companies and governments to implement or react to relevant policies, strategies and technologies.  Starting as a junior, you will have the opportunity to grow towards a consultant position, leading projects independently.

Your profile

Our ideal candidate combines strong analytical thinking with an interest in sustainable energy solutions.  You will have a university degree in natural science, technology or environmental sciences and proven experience in the field of climate change and/or sustainable energy policies.  You are a teamplayer; you have a practical and commercial attitude and excellent communications skills.  You are used to working on projects and meeting tight deadlines in terms of time and budget.  You have a good knowledge and command of the English language.  You will be based in our London office.
